CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - The 26th Annual Ken O'Neill 'Dawn to Dusk' Golf Marathon took place Monday at the Chicopee Country Club, raising funds for cancer research.
Mike O'Neill, the nephew of Ken O'Neill, participated in the marathon by playing 108 holes of golf. The event aims to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, continuing a tradition that began after Ken O'Neill was diagnosed with cancer.
"I was at Dana Farber myself a week ago, and I walked by the Jimmy Fund Clinic and watched the kids going in and out of there–it brought tears to my eyes," said Mike O'Neill. "That's why I do what I do and go out and play 108 holes."
