GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Public Schools continue their community outreach, looking for feedback on how to strengthen their safety protocols after two fights broke out at Preble High School last Tuesday.
A loaded handgun was later found in one of the student’s backpacks.
The Green Bay community is still in shock from last week’s incident and is now looking for answers and reassurance of their children’s safety.
Hundreds of parents and students packed into the Preble High School cafeteria to provide their thoughts on how to minimize the risk of weapons getting into their schools.
“It’s a very sobering fact that this is what’s happening in our country right now, and I’m optimistic some good solutions will be found,” Molly Senechal, mother of a Preble High School student, said.
