PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A world-class sporting event is coming back to the roads of Philadelphia.

Ten years after it was last held, the Philadelphia Cycling Classic will make its comeback on Aug. 30, 2026.

Mayor Cherelle Parker unveiled details of the race during a news conference Tuesday at noon. The event will bring international and American professional cyclists to the city.

In years pas, it's provided millions of dollars in revenue for small business -- and 2026 should be no different.

"It's good for the city, for the people, for the businesses. We're going to be bringing hundreds of thousands of people together," said Eric Robbins, with Race Street Partners.
