WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A 4-month-old boy died after a driver who allegedly fled from police in Wilmington, Delaware, crashed early Tuesday morning.
Officers were conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 95, just after 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, when the driver allegedly took off at a high rate of speed.
The driver fled down the Marsh Road exit, where he was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Marsh Road and Edgemoor Road, according to police.
The vehicle had four people inside at the time.
The driver, who police said was known to be wanted for various offenses, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
A four-month-old boy, identified as Maurice Brown, Jr., who was not restrained, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
