Baltimore County Council passes redistricting map with amendments from Patoka, Ertel

The Baltimore County Council voted to pass a redistricting map that includes amendments from two councilmembers.

The passage comes after councilmen Izzy Patoka, D-District 2, and Mike Ertel, D-District 6, made amendments and introduced the map’s version 4.0 on Sept. 9.

The redistricting comes after Baltimore County voted to expand the council from seven seats to nine.

“It’s an absolute improvement. Plurality,” Patoka said of the amendments last week.
