NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Four people are dead, and State Route 111 north and southbound lanes are still closed after a wreck in White County, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).

THP said a total of 18 people were involved in the crash on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened on State Route 111 near the O’Connor exit around 5:30 p.m.

THP said a white Dodge Durango, with two occupants, was driving north in the left lane and crossed over the center line, side-swiping a GMC Yukon with one occupant inside.

Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.

As a result of the initial crash, the Durango lost control, crossed the median into the southbound lanes, and hit a Ford Econoline van in a head-on collision.

Fifteen people were in the van, THP said.
