The Edinburg Police Department is investigating after a mural of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was vandalized over the weekend.
"The Edinburg Police Department has been notified of the vandalism, and an investigation is underway to identify the individual(s) responsible for the criminal mischief involving this mural on private property," a spokesperson confirmed to Channel 5 News.
The mural was painted on private property after Kirk, the co-founder and CEO of the youth organization Turning Point USA, was assassinated on Thursday in Utah.
