TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Thousands gathered at Arizona State University’s Desert Financial Arena Tuesday night for a candlelight vigil honoring conservative political activist Charlie Kirk .

It was one of several events taking place ahead of the public memorial service set for Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale .

At one point, nearly every seat in the arena was filled with those paying tribute to Kirk. Despite the grief and sorrow, many attendees shared the same sentiment: Kirk’s work does not end with his passing.
