WHITEHOUSE, Ohio — A tense Anthony Wayne Board of Education meeting Monday night drew a large crowd of many parents and community members demanding that board member Shellie McKnight resign over her reaction to a social media post about the shooting death of Charlie Kirk .

McKnight faced criticism after reacting with a laughing emoji to a Daily Mail Facebook post announcing that conservative commentator and founder of Turning Point USA had been shot at an event at Utah Valley University.
