Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell (ENMU-R) will host a celebration of Constitution Day on Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. The event will feature guest speaker Hunter Spindle, chief deputy district attorney for the Fifth Judicial District, discussing the history of the U.S. Constitution and how it is important in everyday life.

Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.
