LYNWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- One year after a 40-year-old woman was shot and killed in Lynwood, authorities are asking for the public's help in catching the gunman.
"We know there are people out there who know who this man is, and the vehicle he was driving. Please come forward and help us," said Lt. Steve De Jong with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.
Irene Gonzalez was shot in the back on Sept. 15, 2024 while trying to flee the gunman who was in a car.
Investigators said the mother of two was soliciting services as a sex worker when she entered a black Toyota Corolla with tinted windows and a sunroof.
