MAYFIELD, Ohio --The Mayfield Middle School resource officer ejected a seventh-grader from a varsity football game for unruly behavior Sept. 5.

The boy, 12, was throwing items and used foul language with several officers and a high school principal during the game at Wildcat Stadium.

On Sept. 8, the resource officer called the boy’s mother to the middle school to discuss the incident and advise her that her son was being banned from all middle school and high school events for the remainder of the school year.

Since the incident occurred in Mayfield Village, that agency is recommending charges in juvenile court for disorderly conduct.

The middle school resource officer had been assigned to the game to monitor students from that school, who are all required to be accompanied by an adult
