A Montclair Colonial Revival tied to a renowned American painter with Impressionist roots has returned to the market with an asking price of $1.825 million.

Listed in September 2025 by Christian Dubuque-Strenz of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, 83 South Fullerton Ave., in Montclair, was the childhood home of famed 20th-century artist Edith Cleaves Barry. A well-traveled painter, illustrator and sculptor, Boston-born Barry exhibited throughout the region and beyond, showing work at the Montclair Art Museum, the National Academy of Design in New York and the Ogunquit Art Association in Maine, among others.
