SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources’ public shooting ranges are offering free rifle, handgun, archery and shotgun shooting at their facilities on National Hunting and Fishing Day, Saturday, Sept. 27.
Annually the fourth Saturday in September is recognized across the U.S. as National Hunting and Fishing Day. Utah lawmakers have recognized the substantial contribution hunters and fishermen toward the management of wildlife in Utah.
DWR is offering free shooting at the Cache Valley Public Shooting Range , located at 2851 W. 200 North in Logan and the Lee Kay Public Shooting Range , located at 6000 W. 2100 South in Salt Lake City.
