Today is the 405th anniversary of the start of what became one of the most famous voyages in history, when the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth for the New World.
To this day, images of the Mayflower can still be seen around the city of Plymouth, such as at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park Stadium, with the shirts worn by the Green Army all having the ship featuring on the club's crest.
