Plans have been submitted for a new cafe in Edinburgh.

The spot would open up in a unit currently operated by ID Hair salon . The application asks for a change of use from shop to cafe, with restricted cooking facilities.

They are yet to be approved by Edinburgh Council . The building sits at 3 Murrayfield Place, and also previously operated as Rainbow Salon.

If the plans are approved, the new cafe will include six seating tables and a counter. There will also be a kitchen at the back of the space, and a toilet.

Drawings of the proposed cafe show that it will be named Francacia & Co. The unit spans over 40.8 square metres, and it's understood that very little changes would need to be made to the interior aside from a new kitchen area.
