Hello everyone! We're looking at a beautiful and warm stretch of weather here in Northern Illinois and the Rockford area. As we move through the work week, we expect decidedly warm conditions to stick around, with many areas seeing highs surge into the mid-to-upper 80s, especially inland. Closer to the lake, however, we'll need to watch for those refreshing lake breezes to keep temperatures a bit milder, mostly in the 70s.

This stable, blocked pattern is providing us with these quiet conditions for now, which is a departure from typical late-season weather for this time of year. We anticipate these warm and dry conditions to persist right through Friday. However, as we head into the weekend, we'll start to see a shift.
