(Pierre, SD) — State Senator Casey Crabtree is officially running for Congress. The Madison-area Republican says he wants to take his “America first, South Dakota always” agenda to Washington and help President Trump deliver on his priorities. Crabtree, who also works as economic development director for Heartland Energy, says his focus will be on strengthening the economy and keeping costs affordable. He joins Republicans Marty Jackley and Democrats Billy Mawhiney and Nikki Gronli in the 2026 race for South Dakota’s lone U.S. House seat.
