FLORENCE, Ala. ( WAFF ) - Several communities across the nation have held memorial vigils after activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed last week at an event in Utah.
Along Larimore Street in Florence, there are several homes that have signs in the yard asking for prayers for Charlie Kirk and his family. UNA students live along that way. And there are several students putting a memorial together; their message is to spread the message of God and try to bring this divide together.
Seniors Samir Manni and Chandler James say that at the end of the day, people need to see that someone died for their beliefs.
