Golden West tagged a depleted Hancock College football team with a crushing loss, 55-0, in a non-league game at Huntington Beach-based Golden West Saturday.

The Rustlers moved to 3-0. The Bulldogs are 1-2 after taking the worst loss for a Hancock football team in memory.

The Bulldogs were without their regular starting quarterback, Drake Missamore, Saturday. Semaj Carmichael, who was touted to be Hancock's top running back this season, has not played yet this year.

Hancock coach Ricky Aguilar said after the Bulldogs beat Orange Coast College in their opener that Carmichael had a bruised knee and was being held out that week. Carmichael has not played since.
