INDIANAPOLIS — A 16-year-old was arrested after allegedly fatally shooting a man on Indianapolis' south side.
According to IMPD, around 12:45 a.m. on July 25, officers were called to the 400 block of Griffin Road , near US 31 and East Stop 11 Road, on a report of a car crash.
When officers arrived, they found the driver, later identified as 20-year-old Edier Alexander Hernandez-Rivera, shot inside a car.
Police said multiple shell casings were found scattered on the ground nearby.
Hernandez Rivera was in critical condition, police said, but he later died at a local hospital.
IMPD said detectives worked to identify "key pieces of evidence, search the area for possible video and interview witnesses."
