CLEVELAND (WJW) -- Destination Cleveland on Tuesday announced visitors to Cuyahoga County in 2024 spent a record $6.9 billion, a 4% increase from the year prior.
Visitors also generated $1.6 billion in tax revenue, helping the average household in the county to save about $1,460 in taxes, according to a Tuesday news release from the tourism agency.
Tourism's overall economic impact was more than $11.4 billion last year, according to the release. Data shows that impact has grown nearly 40% in the last 10 years, and has moved faster than inflation.
