Three weeks into the college football season is enough to draw conclusions about the direction of a few programs.

Like UCLA and Virginia Tech are dreadful, which is why those schools fired their coaches on Sept. 14.

On the other side, let’s do a quick snapshot ranking the SEC’s top College Football Playoff contenders.

1. Georgia. Yes, the Bulldogs' offense wasn’t overly impressive against Marshall and Austin Peay, but putting up 503 yards at a top-15 Tennessee team changes the picture with Gunner Stockton. The defense looks vulnerable on the back end, but they earn this top spot because Kirby Smart has this team contending year in and year out.

2. Oklahoma. Props to the Sooners for making an unconventional trip to Philadelphia to play
