A disabled cat, who walks on her back legs like a kangaroo, was due to be euthanized because of her condition—but now she's living her best life in her forever home.

Paget Williams met the cat in 2022, while working at an animal clinic in Calgary, Canada. The cat was a stray so nothing was known about her history, although it was immediately clear that she was unique. She has radial hypoplasia, causing deformities to her front legs which makes them smaller and thinner than normal.

The vet didn't think the cat would have a good quality of life due to her disability, so she was going to be euthanized. But Williams told Newsweek that she refused to let this cat be put down because it was clear that she "could live happily."
