A shop in Edinburgh city centre may soon be transformed into a new restaurant.
Plans have been lodged with Edinburgh Council to turn the premises of Renaissance Framing at 8 Antigua Street into an eatery.
Formerly, customers would bring pictures to be framed or repaired. According to planning documents, the current occupier has operated a "family business over the past century" but it is "sadly about to end".
Now developers are seeking permission to add a kitchen and chimney to the Broughton workshop with the aim of changing it into a restaurant.
They claim the exterior of the storefront would remain largely the same and changes would consist of kitchen fittings in the rear of the shop.
