WHITESTOWN, Ind. – A rash of car break-ins spurred a significant police presence in Whitestown Tuesday morning.
According to the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the Bridle Oaks subdivision after receiving multiple reports of vehicle break-ins.
Police were in the area starting around 4 a.m.
They were quickly able to catch one of the suspects. They set up a perimeter and caught a second suspect around 8:20 a.m.
With school bus pickups in mind, multiple agencies were in the area to both search for the culprits and ensure the safety of residents.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office and Zionsville Police Department provided additional assistance. Whitestown police thanked residents for reporting suspicious activity.
