AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) - Two Aiken man have been sentenced to two years in prison for conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

According to the United States Department of Justice District of South Carolina's Office, a will was executed by an 88-year-old woman in Aiken that purported to leave the entirety of her estate, which was worth approximately $20 million to Thomas Allen Bateman, 51, of Aiken, and Cody Lee Anderson, 38, of Aiken was designated as the personal representative and stood to be paid $1 million.

However, according to authorities, evidence developing during the investigation that the woman did not have the mental capacity to make an informed decision regarding the disposition of her assets.
