OREM, Utah (ABC4) — A Bonneville Elementary School student is in custody after bringing a firearm to school on Monday morning.
Rich Stowell, Director of Communications with Alpine School District, told ABC4.com that school officials found a firearm in a student's backpack, after another student reported it. The student was immediately detained.
Stowell said that staff was notified by noon, and the entire school community was notified around 1:45 p.m. on Sept. 15.
