MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. (ABC4) — In 2022, Mohave County was able to find the identity of a 1989 homicide victim and discovered she had two missing daughters. Using DNA, they have been able to locate her children.
On December 12, 1989, a deceased female was found on Old Temple Bar Road in Mohave County, approximately fifty miles south of Las Vegas. The female had been stabbed multiple times, was found nude, and was likely killed at the location where her body was discovered.
For several decades, detectives with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office were unable to identify the victim or any suspects in her case. However, they obtained a DNA profile from the victim and entered it into the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS).
