CHARLESTON (WV News) — State leaders will honor the life of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a vigil at the State Capitol on Thursday.
The event, “Remembering Charlie Kirk – a Call to Courage,” will feature remarks from Gov. Patrick Morrisey, as well as from state lawmakers, faith leaders and representatives of Turning Point USA.
“Charlie Kirk’s life reminds us that one person with conviction can influence a generation,” said State Del. Jonathan Pinson, R-Mason. “This event is about more than looking back; it is a call to each of us to stand with courage for the values that matter most.
Morrisey remembered Kirk while speaking at an event in Clarksburg on Thursday morning.
“He was a friend of mine. He actually came to campaign for me back in 2018,” the governor said. “He’s a go
