A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed knifed outside a Midland pub.

The stabbing attack took place outside The Bell Inn in Birmingham Road in Coleshill, near Tamworth at around 9.45pm on Friday, September 12.

The victim, in his 20s, suffered serious injuries but was expected to survive.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on Birmingham Road, Coleshill at 10.08pm on Friday.

"One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance critical care car attended the scene.

“On arrival, we discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for serious injuries before being taken to hospital.”
