OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) - Opelika Police are responding to an active investigation Tuesday with a heavy police presence in the 1000 block of Samford Court.

Residents are being asked to avoid the area and not approach while officers work the scene. At this time, police have not released details about the nature of the investigation or whether any suspects are involved.
