The Williston City Commission conducted a final budget review, noting cost-saving efforts that City Administration say will deliver a near balanced budget for final approval.

A special meeting was held on Monday, Sep 15, where the Commission met to review final numbers before sending the FY 2026 budget for public hearing. Finance Director Hercules Cummings commented that after several weeks of discussions with commissioners and department heads on how to identify efficiencies, reduce costs, and explore additional revenue opportunities, the City was close to delivering a balanced budget with substantial decrease to the originally anticipated $16 million deficit and additional cuts expected to reduce it even further before the final budget is approved. kAm“(6 92G6 AC@5F465 D:8?:7:42?E C65F
