LINCOLN, Neb. —
Gov. Jim Pillen signed an executive order to provide property tax relief to Nebraska residents.
According to the governor's office, there was an increase in casino gambling revenue, as well as unused money remaining in the Property Tax Credit Cash Fund and the School District Property Tax Credit Fund.

Officials said those funds grew by more than the amount originally appropriated by the Nebraska Legislature.
The executive order directs the state's Property Tax Administrator to certify and distribute the full amount in the funds to taxpayers, which will be an additional $20 million in property tax relief, the governor's office said.
