PROVO, Utah (KVOA) - This morning, the 22-year-old suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk is set to be formally charged in Utah State Court.

Currently, the suspect, Tyler Robinson, is being held without bail at the Utah County Jail.

Robinson is accused of climbing onto a rooftop at Utah Valley University and shooting Charlie Kirk from approximately 200 yards away. After the shooting, he reportedly fled into a nearby neighborhood.

The suspect was identified and turned in by his parents after being recognized on security video.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said charges in this case could fall under the death penalty.
