WASHINGTON, D.C. — Washington Post opinion columnist Karen Attiah says she was fired over her social media commentary following Charlie Kirk’s killing.
“Last week, the Washington Post fired me,” she wrote on Substack Monday . “The reason? Speaking out against political violence, racial double standards, and America’s apathy toward guns.”
Attiah, the paper’s last full-time Black opinion writer, said her posts addressed racial double standards, gun violence and America’s apathy toward guns, The Guardian reported .
