BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Federal Aviation Administration is now investigating after crews from three separate flights reported being illuminated by a green laser near Boston Logan International Airport Monday evening.
It’s a federal crime to shine a laser at an aircraft. Officials said it poses a serious safety threat that can incapacitate pilots.
Violators can face a FAA fine of up to $32,000. While on a federal level, they can get up to five years in prison with a $250,000 fine.
No injuries have been reported.
