EAST PALESTINE, Ohio — Norfolk Southern has announced that the site restoration in East Palestine following the 2023 toxic train derailment has been completed.

"Site restoration activities are complete, and the associated particulate air monitoring has concluded in accordance with approved plans," the company posted on its East Palestine site progress website. "Demobilization of equipment and work trailers continues, and efforts will be made to not interfere with Village traffic."
