Two men have been charged in connection with a hate crime after a protest outside of a former Aberdeen student accommodation believed to be housing asylum seekers.
On Thursday September 11, protestors gathered outside of two empty student housing blocks on Farmers Hall Lane in the Granite City .
This came after some of the 300 asylum seekers being housed at the Hampton by Hilton hotel in Westhill, were moved to the private accommodation building with 150 rooms in the Rosemount area.
Protestors gathered outside draped in Union and Scotland flags while wearing balaclavas and carrying placards which read "Protect Our Kids", as officers stood guard at every possible entrance.
