ANN ARBOR, MI — U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Ann Arbor, didn’t let the political divide keep her from joining mostly Republican colleagues at a prayer vigil honoring the life of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk on Monday.

“I went out of respect for my colleagues and a loss of life,” the Michigan Democrat said.

The New York Times reported only a handful of Democrats attended the Sept. 15 ceremony at the nation’s Capitol where there was an outpouring of praise and mourning for the conservative influencer.
