MEDINA, Ohio -- Amateur photographers: It’s time once again to haunt your local cemetery.

Friends of the Cemetery is hosting its fourth annual photo contest through Oct. 25. The group is looking for entries that capture the beauty of Old Town Graveyard or Spring Grove Cemetery.

Amateur photographers can enter original photos taken at either cemetery. The photos can show off the landscape, animal and plant life or architecture.

“We have received some wonderful submissions over the past three years with this contest,” said Teresa Merkle, president of Friends of the Cemetery.

“We have an independent panel of judges who are not members of Friends of the Cemetery. I think they have a hard time deciding because of all the wonderful pictures we have received.”
