NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Students at Glenview Elementary received brand new sneakers on Tuesday.

Nordstrom is partnering with a nonprofit called Shoes that Fit to give out more than 550 pairs of shoes, socks and other gifts.

It was a part of a national effort to help students in need. The students were fitted to their new sneakers to ensure each pair is comfortable and functional.

The partnership is celebrating its 15th year and has already delivered more than 430,000 pairs of shoes across the country, according to a press release on the event.
