An Illinois-born doughnut company known for its flaky, layered doughnut creations will open its first Minnesota shop this weekend.
Parlor Doughnuts opens Saturday inside Rochester's Forager Brewery, which formerly operated its own café in the space.
The company's founder Darrick Hayden and his son, Noah Hayden, traveled with Noah's band for several years and sought out the nation's best doughnuts and coffee shops while on the road, according to its website.
They opened the first Parlor Doughnuts in downtown Evansville, Illinois in 2019 and opened a second location less than a year later amid the exploding popularity of their Famous Layered Doughnut.
Through franchising, Parlor Doughnuts now has over 50 locations nationwide.
