WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A Fort Drum man is accused of strangling, punching, kicking and biting a woman in Watertown.

City police arrested 31-year-old Malik Blackwell on assault and strangulation charges.

At 4:30 a.m. last Friday, police were called to a domestic incident at a home at 1815 Olmsted Drive.

They allege that Blackwell repeatedly struck a woman by punching, kicking and biting her.

According to the police complaint, he’s also accused of grabbing her by the neck and throat, causing her to have trouble breathing and “see black and narrowed vision.”

Blackwell was arraigned and released.
