A 23-year-old Mexican fashion influencer died in hospital following her disappearance earlier this month.

El Financiero reported Marian Izaguirre, who boasts more than four million followers on TikTok and Instagram, died Friday after she was last seen in Uruapan, 400 kilometres west of Mexico City, on Sept. 1.

The day before, she posted a haunting video of herself in clown makeup lip-syncing to a song about losing a lover.

“All the promises of my love will go with you,” she captioned the clip on TikTok . “Why are you leaving?”
