LANSDOWNE — The first graduating class of nurses from the Brockville campus of St. Lawrence College celebrated 50 years at the Glen House Resort on Sept. 9-10, marking their 1975 graduation.

A total of 18 former nurses attended the reunion arriving from London, Belleville, Kingston, Rideau Lakes, Leeds and the Thousand Islands and Lunenburg, Ont. Others came from out of province from far-flung places as Rossland, B.C. Trochu, Alta., and Forel (Lavaux) Switzerland.

“Our fellow colleagues who are all retired have gathered every five years since our 1975 graduation except for 2020 due to the pandemic,” said Jane Hess, former director/chief nursing officer at the Leeds Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit.
