Justin Bieber will take to the stage of the Coachella music and arts festival next spring for the first time as a headliner.

The 31-year-old Bieber, who has appeared as a guest artist at four past events held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., will perform on two weekends, April 11 and 18 .

In addition to Bieber, rock band The Strokes, Talking Heads founder David Byrne and pop star Addison Rae will also entertain the Saturday crowd.

Also headlining both weekends in the Californian desert are pop star Sabrina Carpenter and Colombian singer Karol G.

Other artists appearing on stage include new wave and synth-pop veterans Devo, punk rock royalty Iggy Pop, electronic music legend Moby, rapper Young Thug and jazz pop star Laufey.
