HOUSTON (KTRK) – Police in Houston are searching for a suspect who assaulted and robbed a 74-year-old man who was using a walker.

The incident was caught on video.

The victim, Juan Armendariz, says his attacker got away with just $6 in cash.

Armendariz said he was attacked in the parking lot of a convenience store where he was going to buy lottery tickets.

Officers said they are looking for the attacker, who approached Armendariz, grabbed cash from his shirt, and knocked him to the ground.

Armendariz says his medical issues made it difficult to fight back and he lost his balance.

Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt.

“He took off walking casually like as if it was an ordinary event for him. It was like, ‘So what? He’s on the floor,’” Armendariz recalled.
