CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians are staring down what might be the most pivotal week of their entire season. As Joe Noga and Paul Hoynes discussed on the latest Cleveland Baseball Talk Podcast , the Guards’ playoff hopes could completely evaporate if they don’t dominate their upcoming matchups against the Detroit Tigers.

“Pretty much the season comes down to this,” Noga stated bluntly on the podcast. “They’ve got six games against the Tigers between now and the end of the season, six of their final 13. And if they don’t sweep or if they don’t win at least five out of these six games, any chance of rallying for the division is pretty much out the door.”
