SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY, MI – Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Michigan man who disappeared into a forest and was found dead 16 days later, WLUC reports .

Timothy Lawrence, 51, of Augusta, was found dead on Monday near Lang Road in Gulliver, about 12 miles east of Manistique in the Upper Peninsula, where he initially went missing on Aug. 30.

Authorities previously said that Lawrence abandoned his vehicle on Lang Road and was seen running into the forest. He may have been experiencing a mental health crisis.
